3. What kind of Church are you?

We are an independent, nondenominational congregation, centered on Jesus Christ that strives to practice the principles and teachings found in the Bible.

4. What should I expect when I visit?

Doing anything for the first time can be intimidating, and visiting a new church is no exception.  One of our goals, then, is to help make your experience a good one.  When you arrive at SACC, you will find us to be a friendly, welcoming church.  If you need any assistance, our members will help you in any way we can. Our worship time is dedicated to exalting and honoring our God.  There is an equipped nursery available should you have need of such. Of course, a big question is, “How should I dress?”  It’s really up to you; it’s not a big deal to us. A few will be really dressed up, a few will be really dressed down, but most will be casual and comfortable, somewhere in between. The entire congregation sings songs in worship together.  The songs are displayed on the projection screen at the front of the auditorium.  You are invited to sing in worship along with us or just listen until you become familiar with the songs. At some point during the service, we share the Lord’s Supper together as God’s children.  As believers it is a time of thanksgiving and remembrance for the sacrifice Jesus gave us on the cross.  We eat a piece of bread that symbolizes his body, and we drink a small cup of grape juice that represents His precious blood that covers our sins.  This time of remembrance is open to all believers. As recipients of the riches of God’s grace, we are honored to give an offering back to our God, so that His work can be continued.  As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give.  This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives. Every week you will  hear a relevant, straightforward, Bible-centered message that lasts 25-30 minutes and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life.  We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life. It is our desire for you to leave our time of worship strengthened, encouraged and challenged in your daily walk toward Jesus.  

5. What are your basic doctrines or beliefs?

At SACC, we ground our core beliefs in Jesus and in His message which is found in Scripture. Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture, not merely in opinion or religious tradition. We Believe…      …that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God who died for our sins        and arose from the dead.  (I Corinthians 15:1-8)      …that the Bible is the inspired Word of God — “a lamp unto our feet        and a light unto our path.”  (II Timothy 3:16)      …that every person has worth as a creation of God, but that        “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”  (Romans 3:23)      …that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available        to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord.  (John 3:16)      …that those accepting Christ must repent of sin, confess their faith,        and be baptized into Him.  (Romans 10:9 and Acts 2:38)      …that the Church is the body of Christ on earth and exists to save the lost        and edify the saved.  (Ephesians 4:1-16)      …that Jesus Christ will one day return for His own and reign forever        as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
